To Lessen the Pain Caused by a Migraine Headache

A severe pain felt on one side and sometimes on both sides of the head, is called the migraine headache. The pain is mostly in the front around the temples or behind one eye or ear. Besides pain, migraine headaches is also accompanied by gastrointestinal upsets, such as nausea and vomiting, and a heightened sensitivity to bright lights (photophobia) and noise (phonophobia) . Migraine can occur any time of the day, though it often starts in the morning. The pain can last a few hours or up to one or two days.

To reduce the pain caused by a migraine headache, go in a quiet dark room, lie down in there and relax your self. Or put a cold compress or rag over your forehead. You can also massage your scalp using a lot of pressure then put some pressure on your temples. These ways may help you lessen the pain that the migraine headache gives you.
