3 Places To Avoid Looking for a Magician for your next Church Program for Kids

When you want to hire a professional magician, there are places you definitely want to look. Then, there are places you don’t want to look. Here are three to start with.

When you are looking for a magician, you want to find a good one. No one looks for a bad magician on purpose, do they? Who wants a bad experience for their kids when it comes to magic shows? You want the best magician and the best magic tricks you can find, right? So how do so many parents get it wrong so many times? I believe that there is one way that they do (not that there aren’t many ways to get it wrong, this is just one), and it’s by looking in the wrong places. How is this? Well, think about it. If you look in the wrong place for the right thing, how often is it going to be that you are going to find the right thing? How about the wrong one? I think you’ll agree that if you look in the wrong places for a good magician, you are going to be successful only in finding the wrong magician. Here are three places you don’t want to be looking for a good magician for your kids church program.

First, don’t look to a clown/magician. If you have a person that puts themselves out there as a clown that also puts on a magic show, nine times out of ten they are not good enough at putting on a magic show to pull it off, so they became a clown. This means you are getting the least of both worlds; a bad clown and a bad magician.

Second, a bad place to look for a good magician is that magician’s website. A magician’s website is a great place to look for a list of services, but not necessarily a good place to see if he is a good magician. For that, if you are looking on line, look for other reviews. Peer reviews are great, too. Just remember that his website is only going to have good stuff to say about him.

Third, don’t look in your local church or civic organization. If you pick a dallas magician from among people you know, you have a very good chance of having a bad experience and then being in an uncomfortable situation, because you are all friends.

The best way to find a good magician for your kids church program is to look in the right places. Check with other parents, check online independent reviews and stay away from buddies or “brothers-in-law”.
