When it comes to choosing an HD video production service that is right for a client or business, the only way to know who to go with is through reputation, referrals, and samples of past work. We have to be realistic and make sure that we are comparing apples to apples here. You can’t expect most local businesses or a couple wanting to have their wedding recorded to hire the same production companies that make nationwide commercials with top end actors and special effects in them. HD has become a very accessible form of recording. When I went to the store the other day to get a new camcorder for our vacation, I was surprised to see that they all were classified as HD, some for as little as two hundred dollars. These, however, will not get the job done if you want to make a high quality account of an event that will look first rate. Editing and sound also being taken into consideration, experience is a must. So that takes me back to the couple that wants to have a classy recording of their wedding day. Obviously they are going to stay local and have a budget if they are part of the 95% percent of the country that lives within the middle class. Get away from the computer and go shop around. Websites are an OK place to start, but a flashy website doesn’t mean they have the right experience and equipment for your needs. Talk to friends that have done similar things. Don’t go with the first company that you visit right away. It is always smart to get three solid ideas and quotes on your important production. Remember, in many cases there won’t be a second chance to get it right.
